Xiang Shang Group rallied its employees for an environmental cause on March 25 at Daan Beach, Taichung. During the hour-long effort, over 500 kilograms of marine debris, including fishing nets, Styrofoam, plastic waste, and cigarette butts, were cleared. This activity provided employees with a tangible experience of the severity of ocean pollution, leading them to recognize the need for reduced waste production in daily life. Choosing reusable products and minimizing single-use plastics were among the actions emphasized as expressions of environmental care.

Prior to the beach cleanup, Xiang Shang Group organized a preparatory session for employees, inviting environmental organizations to share practical insights on integrating environmental concepts into daily life and identifying marine debris. The aim was to ensure employees had a basic understanding of marine ecology before engaging in beach cleanup activities. Xiang Shang hopes its employees not only removes marine debris from the natural environment but also instills environmental awareness into their lives.
